Registration commences from Monday, 13h February 2012 and will be open until 7.00pm (EST), Saturday 24th March 2012 (please refer to rule 4 for the tips that will be assumed to have been made by you if you enter the competition after the commencement of the season). Participants must register using his or her own e-mail address. Your full name is permitted if you do not have an e-mail address. The tipping relates to the AFL competition for the 2012 season.
Your registration is protected by a password selected by you. It is highly recommend that you do not disclose your password to any other person.
To enter, participants must complete and submit the registration form.
Tips may be lodged up to 15 minutes before the first game that round is played (the "cut-off" time) after which tips will not be accepted. This is usually Friday, however a number of Thursday games are scheduled. It is the responsibility of the Participant to inform themselves of the day the first day for the round is played, and to lodge tips before the cut-off time. If no entry is received by the cut-off time, Participants will be deemed to have tipped all away games for rounds missed. Prediction of the winning margin of points will be deemed to be counted as zero.
There are 23 rounds, each round consisting of up to 9 (nine) AFL games to tip against. Participants predict the result of each game by nominating the winning team. Participants must also predict the winning margin of points they think will be scored in the first game. A correct prediction of the winning margin of points will be awarded 1 point. A correct prediction of winner will be awarded 1 point per game. No points will be awarded for an incorrect tip. A correct prediction of a draw is awarded 1 point.
The most points scored for the correct prediction of game wins in a round determines the Round Winner. If more than one person has the same number of winning games then the Participant with the closest margin of points in the the first game wins the round. In the event that there is a tie, prize monies will be split and shared evenly.
The cost of playing for the season is $55.00 to be paid prior to the commencement of the third round for the 2012 season.
Prize monies will be determined by final numbers and published on the Website after the third week the competition commences. Winners will be published on the website and notified by electronic mail or telephone within 14 days of winning a round.
The most points at the end of the 23 rounds determine the Overall Winner. There will also be a second prize for the tipper/s who finishes second overall in the competition and a third prize for the tipper/s who finishes third overall in the competition. In the event that there is a tie in any of the divisions then the prize money will be split and shared evenly to those participants in that division.
Colonial Freight Lines take no responsibility for unauthorised access to any Participant's tipping by any means, including where passwords have been revealed to third parties.
Participants may not enter more than one registration. This means that an individual may not enter the competition more than once in his or her own right.
Colonial Freight Lines do not accept responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, illegible, or mutilated entries, or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. In particular we give no warranties that tips will be able to be processed prior to the cut off time. Congestion of the web site may delay your being able to access the site or may prevent your tips from being processed prior to the cut-off time. We recommend that tipping not be delayed until close to the cut-off time.
Colonial Freight Lines reserve the right at their sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any Participant it finds tampering with the entry process or the operation of the competition or site or has registered using any information which is false or to be acting in violation of these terms and conditions. We also reserve the right at our sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any Participant we consider is acting in any way contrary to fair play or to the spirit of the competition, irrespective of whether or not a breach of these rules can be established. No reasons need be given in the event that it disqualifies any Participant.
Any attempt by a Participant or any other individual to deliberately damage any Website or undermine the legitimate operation of this competition is a violation of civil and criminal laws. Colonial Freight Lines reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
